Our co-founder Aashu grew up inside the Montessori school his mother built in HSR Layout, Bangalore. His childhood soundtrack was morning assembly. His playmates were whichever batch was enrolled that year. And his earliest education wasn’t in a classroom — it was watching his mother do the hardest, most invisible job in the world: earning the trust of parents, one child at a time.

He watched something else, too. The teachers and caregivers who stayed for years — who knew every child’s quirks, allergies, and favourite songs — were the ones who were respected, trained, and treated like professionals. The ones who left were the ones treated like they were replaceable.

Years later, building workforce retention programs for companies like Walmart and KinderCare, that childhood observation became a conviction: childcare doesn’t have a supply problem. It has a dignity problem. Fix how caregivers are treated, and everything parents worry about — turnover, quality, trust — starts to fix itself.

Maasi is that conviction, built into a company.
